Biography: A British based photographer and writer. Having completed his Masters degree in Environment and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London and a postgraduate diploma in photojournalism at the London College of Communication he has combined his passion for Africa and photography to great success. He has spent much of his time in East and West Africa where he has produced photo essays on subjects concerned with the survivors of genocide in Rwanda, the street children of Kenya, Fairtrade coffee farmers in Ethiopia and the gemstone miners of Tanzania amongst others. Richard has written a travel guidebook to The Gambia, and is currently working on a guide book to Northern Ireland.
